Sandpiper Bay HOA makes donation to the Gardens

Pictured above from left to right Don Harris, Mario van den Elzen, Councilman Christopher Cooper and Richard McAfoos show their support for the new Botanical Gardens which is located at the entrance to beautiful Sandpiper Bay on Westmoreland Blvd. The Sandpiper Bay Homeowners Association donated $1000 to the clubs general fund wishing the Gardens success with the 19.71 acre facility and beautification project. The residents of the Sandpiper Bay neighborhood have been very supportive of the project and The Friends of the Port St Lucie Botanical Gardens thank them for their involvement, support and generous donation.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the club gives you access to monthly meetings and guest speakers, the ability to vote on club business, discounts on club merchandise and advanced notice to club functions and plant sales. Unlimited regular access to the Gardens.

Memberships are $25 for individuals and $50 for families and friends. General admission to the park for non members is $5, children 12 and under are free.

Funding The Gardens

The monies used to fund the construction of the Botanical Gardens come from a conservation trust fund that was developed with money from builders and developers within the city of Port St Lucie. These monies, which are not ad valorum tax dollars, can only be used for purchasing or improving vacant land.

The club raises funds to supplement the daily operations and to make improvements to the facility. Memberships and contributions to the club are always welcome.

The "friends" assist with the day-to-day operations of the gardens. Providing special events, tours and running of the nature center.
